According to a judge, the death penalty is no longer up for debate. Based on a technicality, the defense team for the rapper “Murder On My Mind” eliminated the death penalty from the sentence.

His lawyers cited a special Florida criminal procedural provision that requires prosecutors to notify the court of their intention to seek the death penalty. They failed to submit the notice.
