Rest In Peace Or Rest In Shame (Workers Of God’s Kingdom

0

I asked myself every day, that will my death be rest in peace or rest in shame. Will Jesus’ second coming meets me as a thief, or will I be awakened at His coming? When He appears, will I rejoice at His coming or mourn?

Most Christians frown any time they hear the message of the second coming of our Lord. Many Christians are not yet ready to see Jesus coming. Jesus’ appearance is to give rest to His children, but I tell you, some will not rest in peace.

Your reward in Heaven is base on what you have done for Christ on earth and how you did it. You can be a pastor, or you can use Christ’s power to heal, cast out devils, and prophesy while living in the fleshly defilements of loving money, loving the praise of men.

Oh Lord, have mercy on us all! The thing is, the closer you are to Jesus in your walk and works on earth, the closer you will be with Him in Heaven. Many Christians will hear the shocking judgment from Christ’s mouth, “Depart From Me!”

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. -Ecclesiastes 9:10

When Solomon said, “Whatever your hand finds to do,” he was acknowledging that there is always work to be done. This challenges us to ensure that even the most ordinary responsibilities of each day get done. But none of us is guaranteed tomorrow; we only have today.

Not only are we to do whatever our hand finds to do, but we are to do it with passion. Solomon’s ending, “in the grave where you are going,” means that someday we will all be gone from here; even though none of us want to hear that we are going to the grave, it is a fact we all need to face.

Pretending it isn’t genuine or simply ignoring it won’t keep it from happening. It’s essential to make a significant investment in things that will create eternal value for us.

MORAL LESSON:

“At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. -Matthew 24:30

“and all the nations will mourn” at His second coming, including unfaithful workers of God. All eyes will see Jesus coming, and some will rejoice at His coming while others will weep and regret not serving Him.

Every Christian is a worker of God. We are all called to be a witness of the Gospel. And He is coming to pay every worker according to the works they have done. At His coming, those who have gone to the grave will resurrect either eternal glory or disgrace.

Most Christians are not resting in peace but rather resting in shame. The cemetery is full of potentials, unfinished dreams, and goals. What are you living for on earth? Will your departure be rest in peace or rest in shame? Start committing yourself to the great commission. Ask the Lord to create a new heart in you and put His willing Spirit to sustain you.

PRAYER :

Dear Lord, use me for great exploits that will advance your work all the days of my life. AMEN!
